WI Rise Up: Posters and Photographs from the 2011 Wisconsin Labor Movement to Defend Collective Bargaining Rights

Art In These Times, the community gallery at ITT offices, is presenting a new exhibition of posters and photographs from the on-going labor demonstrations in Wisconsin that began on February 14, 2011.

The exhibition feature screenprints and off-set posters from the rallies in Madison and Milwaukee and features prints by Nicolas Lampert, Colin Matthes, Eric Drooker, Jesus Barraza, Josh MacPhee, Jesse Graves, and others. Photographs by Lauren Cumbia, Brandon Pittser, Ryan Williams, and the Public Collectors archive will also be exhibited.

The exhibition will open Thursday June 23rd at 7pm with an opening party in conjunction with the Working-Class Studies Conference at UIC and the work will be on display through the summer and fall. This location is not wheelchair accessible.
